February has come and gone...

The month of February went by so fast and now it's hard to believe we're having our first March meeting on Monday!

Just a quick recap of our February meetings...

We started the night with a great Italian meal provided by a generous small group:

Rachael Davis did a great job of leading us through 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

How amazing that there is ONE who can fill all these characteristics. We (and others) will definitely fall short of providing this type of perfect love, but Jesus will always meet these characteristics for us!!

We ended the night making candles and raffling off candy:

Thank you all for braving the crazy rainy weather to make it to the next February meeting!

We were fed some yummy tacos and chips and are so grateful to every small group and Sunday School class who take the time to prepare food for all of us!

Jennifer Williams was so sweet to give up her time once again to come talk to us about forgiveness. God gave his own son to die on the cross for the sins we have all committed. Forgiveness doesn't mean condoning what was done to us, staying in unhealthy relationships, not caring, etc. Forgiveness is an act of your will, a conscience decision to fully and freely pardon an offender. With God's help you forgive them as God forgave you. One of the biggest things Jennifer pointed out is to remember that we will NEVER forgive as much as we've been forgiven!!

After eating and discussing forgiveness, Jess, April, and Tara shared what they have learned about couponing and budgeting! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I hope everyone is putting their envelope cash system to great use and saving money in the process! :)

Don't forget that our next meeting is this coming up Monday, March 14th, at 6 pm. We have some fun things in store for this meeting and hope you all can make it!!
